Warm lamb patties pittas with tzatziki & roasted red peppers

A tasty warm pitta option, best served with a light greek salad.

  • Preparation: 3 mins
  • Serves: 2

What you need:

For the patties

  • 200g minced lamb
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • 1tsp each of cumin and coriander, or to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Seasoning
  • 1tbsp vegetable oil

To fill the pitta breads

  • 2 Mission sweet chilli pitta breads
  • 1 tub tzatziki
  • 1 small jar roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
  • Crunchy lettuce

What you do:

  1. To make the lamb patties combine all the ingredients together well and shape into 6 patties, press down to flatten slightly.
  2. Heat the oil and fry for 6 - 7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Sprinkle the pitta breads with a little water, warm through, slice open and fill with tzatziki, red pepper, lettuce and the lamb patties.
