Potato crusted pizza

Potato crusted pizza

    Never get the dough quite right on a pizza? Never mind, just try this potato dough instead!

    • Preparation: 10 mins
    • Cooking: 20 mins
    • Serves: 4

    What you need:

    • 400g Potatoes (scrubbed and peeled)
    • 175g Self-Raising Flour (Sifted)
    • 150ml Milk (semi-skimmed/skimmed)
    • 2 tbsp Mixed Dried Herbs
    • 1 tsp Baking Powder
    • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
    • 50g Smoked Flavour Cheese (Grated)
    • 75g Sliced Ham
    • 150g Broccoli Florets
    • 2 Sliced Tomatoes

    What you do:

    1. Slice the potatoes and add to a pan of boiling for 15 minutes or until tender
    2. Drain well, allow cooling, and then mash.
    3. Meanwhile, cook the broccoli florets in a small pan of water for 3 minutes, drain and set aside alternatively you can steam over the potatoes
    4. Add the sliced potatoes and herbs to a bowl and add the self-raising flour and the baking powder to the bowl and stir.
    5. Add milk to make a soft dough and mix together. Sprinkle some flour onto a surface, add the mixture and knead to form a ball of dough, then roll out until 23cm round.
    6. Place on a greased baking sheet or a pizza tray. Bake for 10 minutes.
