Olly Smith's Cocodirect biscuits

Celebrity drinks expert Olly Smith's quick and easy choccie biscuit recipe makes a delicious, inexpensive homemade gift for friends, relatives and loved ones

What you need:

  • 2oz. Fairtrade sugar
  • 8oz. butter
  • 8oz. self raising flour
  • 3oz Cafédirect's "Cocodirect" drinking chocolate powder

What you do:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together and then add the flour and Cocodirect powder.
  2. Form the mixture into little balls the size of walnuts. Place on baking tray and flatten with a wet fork leaving ridges.
  3. Cook at 165 degrees for 20-25 minutes (keeping an eye on them so that they don't overbrown).
  4. These quantities will make approx 50-60 biscuits, so if you want to make less just half the recipe or simply form the mixture into larger sized balls.
