Nutmeg spiced smoked salmon pate with walnuts

Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cooking Time: 3 mins
Serves: 4

What you need:

• 100g/4oz Smoked salmon
• Zest of half a lemon
• 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
• 150g/5oz Alpro soya plain yogurt
• 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
• Freshly milled black pepper
• 4 slices of walnut bread per person

What you do:

1. Place the salmon and yoghurt in a mini food mixer and blend.
2. Add the chopped dill, nutmeg and lemon zest
3. Slice the bread and place under a medium grill until lightly toasted on both sides.
4. Remove from the grill and slice each piece in half diagonally with a sharp knife.
5. Place back under the grill to toast.
6. Serve pate in ramekins with the walnut melba toast.

Handy tip/Serving Suggestion:

Smoked trout also works well in this dish, and can be used instead of salmon if preferred.
