Pear & goat's cheese salad

Pear & goat's cheese salad

The sweetness of the pears goes perfectly with the goat's cheese and salad leaves. This dish could be served as a starter or a light lunch.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

What you need:

  • Knob of butter
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
  • 150g goats cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 head chicory
  • 50g walnut halves
  • 4 tbsp English Provender Classic French Dressing

What you do:

  1. Heat a frying pan and add a knob of butter, add the pears and cook over a gentle heat until beginning to brown and soften. Remove and put to the side. Wipe the pan with kitchen paper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the goat's cheese for a minute on both sides.
  3. Separate the chicory leaves and divide in-between four plates. Top with the pears, cheese and a sprinkling of walnuts.
  4. Drizzle with the French Dressing and serve immediately.
