Pear & goat's cheese salad
The sweetness of the pears goes perfectly with the goat's cheese and salad leaves. This dish could be served as a starter or a light lunch.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4
What you need:
- Knob of butter
- 1 pear, peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
- 150g goats cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 head chicory
- 50g walnut halves
- 4 tbsp English Provender Classic French Dressing
What you do:
- Heat a frying pan and add a knob of butter, add the pears and cook over a gentle heat until beginning to brown and soften. Remove and put to the side. Wipe the pan with kitchen paper.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the goat's cheese for a minute on both sides.
- Separate the chicory leaves and divide in-between four plates. Top with the pears, cheese and a sprinkling of walnuts.
- Drizzle with the French Dressing and serve immediately.
