Sweet & sour prawn skewers

Sweet and sour is a classic Chinese flavour which goes really well with prawns and the sugar snap peas add a lovely crunch!

What you need:

  • 350g Large Raw Prawns
  • 150g Uncle Bens Wholegrain Rice
  • 15mlsp Sunflower Oil
  • 1 Red Pepper, chopped
  • 75g Sugar Snap Peas, sliced
  • Small Red Onion, chopped
  • 500g Jar Uncle Bens Light Sweet and Sour Sauce

What you do:

  1. Thread the large prawns onto 4 skewers.
  2. Cook the rice for 10 minutes. Meanwhile heat the oil in a large frying pan. stir-fry the pepper, sugar snap peas and onion for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan and keep to one side.
  3. Now cook the prawn skewers in the frying pan for 3-4 minutes, turning a couple of times.
  4. Stir in the sweet and sour sauce and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Mix the red pepper, sugar snap and onion into the drained rice.
  5. Serve the prawns on a bed of the savoury rice, with a small bowl of the sweet and sour sauce.

Handy tip:

  • Try adding sliced button mushrooms into the rice.
