Fruity granola dessert topping

Delicious and healthy - yes, the two can go together in this lovely granola dessert topping

  • Preparation: 5 mins
  • Cooking: 10 mins
  • Serves: 6

What you need:

  • 50g butter
  • 75g (5 tbsp) honey
  • 100g oats
  • 50g raisins
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 50g chopped nuts (e.g. walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts)

What you do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6.
  2. Melt the butter and honey in a saucepan then stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour into a roasting tin and bake for 10 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before breaking up into clusters. Allow to cool.
  3. Serve as a topping for ice cream, yoghurt or fresh fruit salad.
