Banoffee syrup sundae
We challenge you to stop your mouth from watering at the sight of this banoffee syrup sundae. Go on, treat yourself!
Serves: 2
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
What you need:
- 25g (1oz) butter
- 1tbsp Lyle's Squeezy Syrup
- 1tbsp Tate & Lyle Soft Brown Cane Sugar or Tate & Lyle Demerara sugar
- 1tbsp double cream or full fat milk
- 2 digestive biscuits
- 1 banana
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream or ½ 400g can custard
What you do:
- Place the butter, Lyle's Squeezy Syrup and sugar in a pan and melt slowly over a low heat. Bring gently to the boil for half a minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the cream or milk. Leave to cool.
- Crumble the biscuits into two sundae glasses. Drizzle over a little of the toffee sauce. Slice the bananas and add half on top of the biscuits, add the ice cream or custard and the remaining bananas and toffee sauce.
