Home-made beef burgers with relish & camembert

Mouth-watering home made burgers with an even more mouth-watering topping

  • Preparation: 25 mins
  • Cooking: 15 mins
  • Serves: 2

What you need:

  • 260g best quality minced beef
  • 10 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 dashes Tabasco
  • 2 heaped tsp red pesto
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp finely chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 dsp caster sugar
  • A little olive oil
  • 2 dsp red wine vinegar
  • 4 slices Coeur de Lion Camembert
  • Toasted ciabatta and rocket to serve

What you do:

  1. Mix the mince together with the Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, Dijon mustard, pesto and parsley. Season the mixture according to taste.
  2. Form into 2 patties.
  3. Finely slice the red onion and sauté for 2 mins in a little olive oil, add in the sugar and cook for a further 2 mins before adding the red wine vinegar. Cook until soft and caramelised, about 10mins
  4. Heat a griddle pan or frying pan and add the burgers, cook for a couple of minutes on each side.
  5. Top each burger with the Camembert and red onions, serve on toasted ciabatta with the rocket.
